Lineage
Bigfoot’s Dick x Taste the Rainbow F2
Type
Regular Photoperiod
Flowering Time
72 days / 10.2 weeks
Structure
Medium-tall, sturdy plant with a thicker mainstem and lateral branches that hug the center unless they’re pulled away using LST to open up the plant more; classic conical pine tree shape. Leaves are medium-sized and usually feature seven (7) leaflets each, sparsely populated. Leaf to calyx ratio is good with larger fan leaves being easily removed during trimming thanks to the long petioles.
Bud sites spiral up along the central stem, decorated with conical shaped, trichome-frost covered buds with visually striking orange & red pistils later in flower. Cooler temperatures in flower will bring out darker colors in the buds and leaves to compliment the orange/red pistils.
Aroma & Terpene Profile
Cured flower smells like potpourri, walking into a craft/hobby store, and a fresh box of wax crayons in art class. Flavor is fruity, earthy, and hint of gas/diesel.

Comments/Notes
We had the fortunate opportunity to meet and speak with Brett @ The Heart & Soil Project in person at the Dude Grows Cup in 2024 near Fort Collins, CO. After learning about the Peruvian Heirloom genetics he brought back from South America (Cuzco) to work with in their breeding projects, we knew they were working up something special. Hearing about the energizing and cerebral effects of these heirloom cultivars, and having a chance to examine and smell their Taste the Rainbow and Peruvian Punch flower, we picked up a few packs of regular seeds from their Taste the Rainbow collection without hesitation. In the mood for something smelly, we opted to start with the Bigfoot’s Dick cross which includes Roadkill Skunk and doubles-down on the Mendo Breath lineage which is also carried on the Taste the Rainbow side.
Hunting through those seeds for keeper phenos, we identified several nice females and a handful of males, one of which was particularly robust with vigorous growth and a sturdy, open structure that once flowered, was covered in top to bottom with mature and potent pollen sacks. Of the females that we tested in flower, one stood out with her resistance to nutrient burn, beautiful flower structure, and unique scent that reminded us most of the Peruvian Punch.
We enjoyed this cultivar and are so confident in its potential for creating interesting breeding projects that we opted to use the keeper male as the pollen donor for our first round of regular seeds, and included the keeper female pheno in the pollination to create {Bigfoot’s Dick x Taste the Rainbow F2} F2 seeds.
Reaching out to The Heart & Soil Project, we asked about a name for this cultivar and were advised there’s no name yet, but we can expect vigorous growth with gas + candy flavors. Based on the South American origins and comingling with Bigfoot, we’ve taken to referring to this cultivar as “Mapinguari” internally for ease of reference.
Extremely vigorous root growth when cloning using aerocloner method. Sensitive to too much nitrogen.
