Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 19, 2026
Last updated: June 19, 2026

Big Muddy Genetics LLC (“Big Muddy Genetics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website bigmuddygenetics.com (the “Site”) and an associated QuickBooks-connected invoicing process used to bill and collect payment for orders. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Big Muddy Genetics LLC
Contact: [email protected]
Mailing address: PO Box 2, Freeburg, IL 62243

2. Age requirement

The Site is intended only for adults of legal age in their jurisdiction. You must meet the minimum age requirement enforced by our age gate to access the Site or place an order.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide at checkout/order:

  • Name (first and last)
  • Billing/contact address
  • Email address
  • Order details and order total

Information collected automatically: basic device/usage data and cookies needed to operate the Site.

What we do NOT collect on our Site: we do not collect or store your payment card or bank account details on our Site. When you pay an invoice, payment is processed by Intuit / QuickBooks Payments on their secure systems — your card details are entered with Intuit, not us.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create an invoice for your order and email it to you with a secure payment link;
  • Process and fulfill your order once payment is received;
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • Keep records and comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues.

5. How your information is shared

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Intuit / QuickBooks: we send your name, contact details, and order/invoice information to Intuit to generate invoices and process payments. Intuit handles this data under its own privacy policy: https://www.intuit.com/privacy/.
  • Service providers: our website host and email provider, acting on our behalf.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards. The Site is served over HTTPS. Our QuickBooks connection uses OAuth 2.0; access tokens are stored securely and are not exposed publicly, and we request only the minimum QuickBooks permissions needed. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate the Site and, where applicable, to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.

8. Data retention

We keep order, invoice, and contact information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, provide support, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the legal age required to use it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
